Equality:  Till human voices do me wake
I shall not seek to compensate
                the duke with poverty
                and dread,
and place upon the poor man's head
                a crown.
'Tis his right to slay the duke,
to take the crown, and then,
                to loot,
                to pillage, raze,
                battle,
                rot.
                Law have I, but nature?--not.

Freedom:  Run me through and hold me fast,
and as I stutter out my last,
                 know ye be my better.

Um... um... yeah.

Forgive me. I think I just had a seizure.

Thanks to ~DarthSlatis for the inspiration! The first line was totally taken from the title of her journal ( [link] ).

For ~52Cardds's theme "Freedom vs. Equality/Chaos vs. Order."

...

I have not originality with titles.

Or formatting skills.

Probably in need of re-working, but I have 100 pages to read for AP English, so I hope you'll forgive me for not doing that right this second.

I'd hope that my love of comments is implied, but just in case it's not...

Cheers,
Merlin

Hmm...I like this one. It has an interesting sort of tone to it.

I love "Laws have I, but nature?---not." The rhythm is strange . . . perhaps that's just me, though.

It was written in a sort of creative fit... so the rhythm doesn't surprise me. :paranoid:

You know what I learned today? That there was some sort of political debate on television last night...

That just strikes me as terribly... odd. Considering.

They're fun, aren't they? Especially when you don't have paper or something to write with.

"Have you ever thought about dying?"
"Yeah."
"How do you want to go?"
"Naked."
"Why?"
"Because that's how I came in."
