Sorry, after looking at all of these photos I was reminded of how much I miss wide open spaces and actual NATURE as opposed to cultivated lawnscaping. They've been building far too much around here, there used to be so much farmland/open fields and now there are houses and empty strip malls...

Aw, man....poor you. One day I vow to own a huge tract of land in the middle of nowhere with my own personal forest, river, etc. *solemn nod* Well, at least that's what I hope I end up with...

These things happen. I live ten miles or so up the road from here, so it's not too bad where I am yet.
There's this story, about how when the housing developments near here just got put in, and some of the teenagers started knocking down mailboxes, my great-grandfather put up a metal post next to his. When they came by again in their car, the kid with the baseball bat fell out.
Moral of the story: don't mess with old southern people.

XD Yeah, my grandparents were having that same problem a while back. Didn't get quite so creative, though! That's an awesome story.

That's just it! If the family only cared a bit more, it would have been nothing for them to fix this place up. My grandfather (who lives about a football field away, on the other side of the fence there) put in all the plumbing at his house, build the deck on the back of the house, lowered the high ceilings to put in a whole second story, and a whole lot of remodeling besides. All that this house really needed was some work on the floors and TLC. But now it's been sold and torn down... not his issue anymore.
(I think it's a flower pot, by the way.)

Got some unscannable artwork? Own a camera but no scanner? Here's a guide of things to consider in order to effectively take quality photographs of your work. [A tutorial by `fox-orian]
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
